· Five annual Coffee Houses-Music, Poetry, and Snacks for Everyone
· Window treatments and rugs for the Maggie Valley Library
· Scholarships for staff members
· Inservice training "extras" for the staff
· Support for the Regional Quiz Bowl
· The Summer Reading Program for the children
· Staff Appreciation Lunch in April Library Week
· The monthly Sunday Concert Series with the Arts Council
· The Fall Series: Let's Talk About It
· A team in the Literacy Council Spelling Bee
· Popular authors, for the Annual Meeting, June 11, 2002
· Great refreshments at all our programs

Check your address label for the date of your last contribution to the Friends. If it doesn't say "09" we hope you fill out the membership form and send us your dues now.

If it does, THANKS from all of us who love our wonderful library.

And consider helping as a volunteer. We always enjoy new folks on our committees and working on the Book Sales. Just check an activity on the membership form, or call a member of the Board, or call the Library.
